The deployment of the Infor Visual enterprise information system has supported the growth of C.I.C. Jan Hřebec since the turn of the millennium. In 2003, it crossed the threshold of a mid-sized company. Orders were increasing, new employees joined the company and the operational management method was no longer sufficient.
The company's management therefore had to find a way to ensure a clear overview of the basic agendas, especially in production and downstream processes. The company's growth and increasing order volumes brought new challenges, particularly in the area of planning.
Solutions
The C.I.C. Jan Hřebec company chose Infor Visual enterprise information system for the needs of manufacturing company management in 2003 for its unique features in the area of TPV data preparation, planning and production management. Emphasis was also placed on accounting and finance solutions and their interconnection with logistics and production processes.
In addition to implementing standard system functions, Seyfor consultants also linked Infor Visual with the air conditioner configurator. With this connection, configured air conditioner BOMs are directly imported into production orders without the need for manual editing.
One of the important milestones was the deployment of the Executive Planning and Scheduling (APS) module, which enables production to follow a precise production schedule. The dates of more than 1,500 production operations in work-in-progress and 6,000 material requirements are updated daily.
Materials warehousing has been optimized by integrating with the WMS system, where warehouse movements are automatically entered into Infor Visual online using mobile terminals. Similarly, the deployment of barcodes in production has proved to be successful, significantly reducing operator errors and enabling real-time tracking of work.
Result
The implementation of the Infor Visual information system helped to bring order. All key data is now correctly recorded in the system, giving management accurate management information. The implementation of the executive planning and scheduling module has helped to organise production much better.
Scheduling is done on a daily basis, allowing production bottlenecks to be managed and potential order slippages to be eliminated before they actually occur. Thanks to the long-term use of the Infor Visual system, the company has a consolidated data base that allows it to analyze not only the current situation, but also long-term changes and trends in the market and in the life of the company.
The company's management thus has a tool in its hands that has confirmed that it can not only grow with the company, but above all effectively contribute to its management.
