KOPY TRUCK s.r.o. provides repair and servicing of DAF trucks. The implementation of incadea.dms has ensured the digitalization of their warehouse management, acceleration of internal processes and modernization of the 15 years outdated DMS system.

Thanks to its strategic location on the D1 motorway, KOPY TRUCK is also a busy service centre.

The company has been an authorized repair shop for DAF trucks since 2005. It is located on the 90th kilometer of the D1 motorway, which ensures a high workload. In 2019, the service area has grown to practically the largest possible area, increasing its capacity to the maximum. Last year it faced another challenge - the introduction of highly automated in-house software that would enable the company to become a DAF Gold Partner.

Automation makes DAF a gold partner

KOPY TRUCK had a clear goal. It was automation that would be rewarded with DAF Gold Partner certification. At the same time, the company's management was acutely aware that DAF's requirements for automation would increase in the future. They were therefore looking for a solution supplier that would enable them to manage even very advanced processes and adapt flexibly to new challenges.

What requirements were key in the selection process?

Previously, the company had an old version of the Incadea solution, which has now been superseded. The focus was therefore on processes that had not been covered before. For example, the company was looking for the most efficient system to implement barcode scanners for warehouse management and mechanic clocking.

Another requirement was to find a supplier who would be a true partner and be prepared to implement functionality extensions that would also satisfy the growing requirements of the DAF manufacturer over time. Seyfor was able to meet all the requirements.

KOPY TRUCK was a pilot in the Czech Republic, yet the company's management is very satisfied with the result

We knew we were the pilot in the Czech Republic. Our company deployed the latest version of Business Central together with the completely new DAF IML as the first ever. During the Go-Live, I appreciated that the entire Seyfor team was extremely dedicated to us and also guided us through the new strategy and vision of the company, said Ondřej Píval, the company's technical director, by way of introduction.

Also thanks to the new system, we have started to use, for example, barcode scanner solutions not only in the warehouse management but also in the mechanics' clocking, which has resulted in a rapid increase in the efficiency of the mechanics' work, the director praises the new functionality. He estimates that the employees' work has been made 30 percent easier.

Looking to the future and seeking strategic partnerships is really key for the company. "The first step of the system renewal is behind us, now we have to stabilise the processes and gradually add further improvements, which will include our partner Seyfor a.s."

What are the impressions of the Seyfor implementation team?

Project manager Lukáš Mezírka recalls the biggest challenge of the project and the good relationships. They welcomed us in a very friendly way and we are both looking forward to further cooperation. Looking back, the biggest challenge for us was to transfer the 15-year-old database to the new environment. But we managed to do that as well. We all learned a lot and pushed our own boundaries a little further again. We are very happy about the successful implementation in the team."
