TATRA TRUCKS uses Infor
since 1998

The increase in production required the modernization of the information system.

1 200

of TATRA vehicles are processed annually in the Infor LN information system

5 000

items are scheduled in the information system for each vehicle produced

10 000

Open orders are rescheduled daily over the course of a month

Key Requirement

The significant increase in production and the application of modern business process management methods required a radical strengthening and reconfiguration of the information system to best fit the new business process management model. Traditionally, the management of TATRA TRUCKS placed emphasis on meeting the project's time schedule and planned budget. The key requirement was to keep the system downtime as short as possible during the ramp-up period of the new solution, with minimal impact on the production schedule.

Solution

TATRA has been working with Seyfor since 1998. The ramp-up of the new system version into live operation was exactly on schedule. The implementation of the Infor LN enterprise information system was preceded by a detailed analysis, which focused primarily on the use of the upgraded functions and their deployment with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the company's operations.

A lot of attention was paid in particular to the optimization of business processes, automation of invoice processing and integration with other systems (filing warehouses, electronic communication with suppliers, dispatch support, link to CAD).

Result

The new version of the Infor LN enterprise information system enabled the deployment of other important information technologies, in particular the introduction of a comprehensive workflow across business processes, the introduction of an advanced DMS and the deployment of the modern mobile application Seyfor Mobility for online recording of warehouse transactions. Workflow is mainly applied in the automation of invoice processing from their registration through approval to storage in the system, including electronic form in the DMS.

The use of Infor OS's modern integration tools has simplified the connection to other subsystems and will allow for significantly simplified data management interfaces in the future.

The introduction of Seyfor Mobility has helped improve work in warehouses with better use of mobile terminals. The new solution significantly improves the work of users, speeding up and refining the transfer of information important for business management. Users are no longer dependent on installing a local client application on their workstation. They now access the system via a web browser and can use the information system on any device and from anywhere they have an internet connection.

Upgrading the information system was a decisive step for TATRA TRUCKS on the way to a modern and efficiently managed company. The company's production is growing and the Infor LN information system now provides the necessary support.
