Key Requirement
PBS Turbo needed to modernise and optimise its business processes to shorten production cycles, increase production capacity and respond more effectively to individual customer requirements.
In addition to the development and production of turbochargers, the company also provides a complete service for the entire service life of the turbochargers in operation.
There was therefore a need to implement a robust ERP system that could meet the production, development and service requirements.
Solution
In 2005, Infor VISUAL ERP became that system for PBS Turbo. The implementation included integration with the parent company's information systems, such as the BEER economic report and the VoKUs controlling system.
In 2008, the company started optimizing production and its management to increase production capacity and reduce production time. Over the following years, the company gradually upgraded the Infor ERP system to higher versions, which also included upgrading the operating system and database server.
In 2022, the next phase of production digitization was launched, which led to the implementation of a two-way interface between Infor VISUAL and the MES system.
Result
Thanks to Infor VISUAL, PBS Turbo was able to increase turbocharger production threefold, significantly shorten production cycles and speed up individual deliveries to customers, including those with individual requirements.
The production of spare parts has also been reduced, which has increased the efficiency of service interventions, which are carried out through authorized service partners.
In the future, PBS Turbo plans to further deepen the digitalization of its processes, for example by introducing a WMS system for the material and semi-finished goods warehouses.
