Key Requirement
The production of each aircraft is a unique process where everything must be under absolute control. The reliability of each aircraft produced is dependent on following all prescribed procedures to the last detail. The tracking and recording of parts and materials used are crucial for the subsequent servicing of the aircraft. Ensuring warranty and after-sales service is a prerequisite for the success of any aircraft manufacturer. Therefore, it is important for Aicraft Industries to have the tools to keep track of service orders and spare parts in relation to the documentation of each aircraft shipped.
Solutions
When selecting the information system solution, it was crucial to have a proven deployment of the Infor LN system in the aerospace industry, especially with one of the largest aerospace manufacturers, Boeing. Other important factors were the full support of the Czech language and legislative environment and Infor's direct representation in the Czech Republic. The original implementation was directly managed by Infor.
In 2019, Seyfor took over support of Infor products at Aircraft Industries and completed a re-implementation project, the main objective of which was to migrate from LN 6.1 FP3 to version 10.5. Seyfor thus became the main partner for the support and further development of the Infor LN enterprise information system. It is implemented in all areas of business management and is a key platform for the management of the entire company.
Result
The Infor LN system brings key benefits to Aircraft Industries, particularly in the areas of financial management, production and sales and logistics management. The production process is accurately documented and with ongoing change management, responsible personnel have a detailed overview of every piece of material and every manufactured part used in a particular aircraft.
Because of the large number of parts, material planning in Infor LN is highly valued. Tracking waste in production then increased the use of expensive materials. Cooperation with cooperating companies and the recording of issued and returned processed material are also subject to special procedures.
Service of previously produced aircraft is performed in the downstream Service module of the Infor LN system. This makes it easy to use previously collected data and maintain up-to-date documentation for each aircraft.
